Stop motion - Photography
Stop motion is an animated film making technique in which objects are framed using different frames every time a picture is taken , however the person taking it should not move the camera to make all the pictures in sync to create a small movie using only pictures. When you shoot a standard movie, you’re actually shooting a series of still images that are playing back at a fast rate. If you’re shooting a movie at 24 frames per second, for instance, your camera is actually shooting 24 different images every second.
Well, in Stop Motion photography you’re doing the same thing, but instead of shooting all those frames in real time, you’re shooting one image, then moving the subject, shooting another image, moving the subject again, and so on. The motion comes together when all those images are edited into a continuous movie. To make sure the camera doesn't move you can place it on tripod so the person taking the pictures can be stable and not shake. to make sure the focus of the camera doesn't change you could set the camera on manually. also exposure and the light could change whilst you are taking pictures , therefore its good to have extra light equipment whilst shooting like an umbrella or soft box. The subject need to make different movement every time for stop motion to work and to make it seem like you have created a short movie. Also using the Adope software you have a choice to change the colours of the pictures and edit them to the persons liking.
